§ 44-225. Insurance required.

  • (a)

    All firms registered or licensed under the provisions of this article shall maintain the following insurance coverage limits:

    (1)

    Workers' compensation and occupational diseases insurance in the amount required by state law.

    (2)

    General liability insurance, as follows:

    a.

    Bodily injury with limits of not less than $1,000,000.00 each occurrence and $2,000,000.00 aggregate.

    b.

    Property damage with limits of not less than $1,000,000.00 each occurrence and $2,000,000.00 aggregate.

    c.

    Contractual insurance, broad form, with limits of not less than $1,000,000.00 each occurrence and $2,000,000.00 aggregate.

    (3)

    Motor vehicle liability insurance, as follows:

    a.

    Bodily injury with limits of not less than $1,000,000.00 each occurrence and $2,000,000.00 aggregate.

    b.

    Property damage with limits of not less than $1,000,000.00 each occurrence and $2,000,000.00 aggregate.

    c.

    Umbrella or excess liability coverage $5,000,000.00 per occurrence and in the aggregate.

    (b)

    Certificates of insurance to be supplied to the village prior to undertaking any work in the village.

    (c)

    Notification of insurance cancellation must be made a minimum of 30 days prior to the effective date of such cancellation.
