§ 54-30. Restitution of emergency service costs from intoxicated driver.

  • Any person convicted of a violation of 625 ILCS 5/11-501, whose operation of a motor vehicle while in violation of said section proximately caused by an incident requiring emergency response by police, fire or ambulance units of the village shall be billed an amount not to exceed $500.00 for the costs of said emergency service. Further, a request shall be made to the state's attorney's office and court with jurisdiction that restitution in the amount billed be part of any sentence imposed on said person.
