§ 56-127. Water classes enumerated.

  • (a)

    Class WA (general water service). There are three types of Class WA water service:

    (1)

    WA1 includes those single-family residential, commercial, industrial or municipal users of the water service with a quarterly water billing period.

    (2)

    WA2 includes those water service accounts with multiple residential or commercial subunits serviced through a single water meter with a quarterly water billing period. This class of service includes apartment buildings, mobile home parks, and other commercial or residential uses with multiple subunits located within the same structure, with the exception of hotels or motels.

    (3)

    WA3 includes those residential, commercial or industrial customers with quarterly water billing periods located outside of the corporate limits of the village.

    (b)

    Class WB (business service). There are three types of Class WB water service:

    (1)

    WB1 includes those commercial, industrial or municipal users of the water service with monthly water billing periods.

    (2)

    WB2 includes those water service accounts with multiple residential or commercial subunits served through a single water meter with a monthly water billing period. This class includes apartment buildings, mobile home parks, and other commercial or residential uses with multiple subunits located within the same structure with the exception of hotels and motels.

    (3)

    WB3 includes those residential, commercial, or industrial customers with monthly water billing periods located outside of the corporate limits of the village.

    (c)

    Class WC (special service). There are three types of Class WC water service:

    (1)

    WC1 includes the Chicago Zoological Society (Brookfield Zoo) water service account with a monthly water billing period.

    (2)

    WC2 includes temporary accounts created for construction operations or other special uses where water service cannot practically be metered.

    (3)

    WC3 includes a municipal wholesale account for providing water service to an adjacent community when required during emergency periods.
