§ 54-267. Grounds for removal—Obstruction of traffic.

  • In addition to impoundment following immobilization, the village may impound a vehicle whenever the vehicle is parked illegally in such a manner as to obstruct the normal movement of traffic or interfere with the sweeping or repair of streets or removal of snow. The village manager or police chief, or any person authorized by either of them, is authorized to cause such vehicle to be removed from the public street and conveyed by or under the direction of a member of the police division to an authorized garage.
