§ 54-141. Fine and penalty schedule.

(a)

The fine for unlawful parking in a handicapped zone shall be the fine set forth in section 18-134 of this Code. The fine shall be in addition to the costs incurred to remove a vehicle unlawfully parked in a handicapped zone or space.

(b)

Unless the driver of the motor vehicle cited for an automated traffic law violation received a uniform traffic citation from a police officer at the time of the violation, the owner of the motor vehicle is subject to a civil penalty of $100.00 per violation. If the civil penalty is not paid within 14 days after service of a violation notice, an additional penalty of $100.00 for failure to pay the original penalty in a timely manner shall be assessed. Unless the driver of the motor vehicle cited for an automated traffic law violation received a uniform traffic citation from a police officer at the time of the violation, a violation for which a civil penalty is imposed for an automated traffic law violation is not a violation of a traffic regulation governing the movement of vehicles and may not be recorded on the driving record of the owner of the vehicle.

(c)

The fine for all other motor vehicle parking and/or standing violations and compliance violations shall be the fine set forth in section 54-121 of this Code.
