§ 2-272. General duties.

  • The village clerk shall be ex officio clerk of the board of trustees and, in addition to the duties required to be performed by the clerk of the board as set forth in the state statutes, it shall be his duty to:

    (1)

    Keep his office at the village hall during such hours as may be prescribed by the village board;

    (2)

    Make copies of all ordinances, resolutions and other papers duly filed in his office, and transcripts from the journal and other records and files of his office, certified by him under the corporate seal, to be furnished to any of the trustees or officers of the village without the payment of any fee therefor, and to be furnished to all other persons upon the payment of the fee therefor prescribed by the village board; and

    (3)

    Perform such other duties and functions as may be prescribed by the village board.
